In the Giuliani & Toensing SDNY search warrant case, the USA tells the court the grand jury will not be handing down an indictment and asks that the Special Master be discharged. Link to the letter and some of case file.

It appears the grand jury was in Maryland but frankly I’m not sure. I don’t recall that we ever saw the warrant to establish where the grand jury was seated. What happened in Maryland that teed up in 2018?

    Nov.30, 2018: Trumpand Putin were both at the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, but the U.S. presidentcanceled a planned meeting just hours after the Kremlin had announced it,blaming the decision on Russia’s seizure of Ukrainian naval ships and sailorsin the Black Sea. However, the Financial Times later reported that thetwo world leaders and their wives had talked for 15 minutes at an event at theBuenos Aires opera house. An unnamed Russian official told the newspaper thatthe discussion had been about whether they could meet formally, as well as thesituations in Ukraine and Syria, and that only a Russian interpreter waspresent.      On December20, 2018, it is reported that Secretary Perry led an interagency delegationto Riyadh weeks earlier to discuss a potential deal to share American nuclearpower technology with Saudi Arabia.
