In the SDFL espionage case, Trump’s team has filed a motion to obtain relief from the scheduling order to file a boat-load of motions.

1. I missed this. On Jan 16 the DC appeals court denied rehearing en banc in the Trump Twitter search warrant. Four judges filed a statement. Three appointed by Trump and one by Bush41 who is also on the immunity panel. Link to the statement.
I created alerts for Trump-affiliated real estate. NYC Sperry Rand building just popped up. Major tenant is Trump’s real estate law firm, King & Spaulding. This type of document is often part of a sale or foreclosure.
I think Trump is broke. He’s not paying his attorneys evidenced by having a non-trial lawyer doing a trial that could result in a big judgment. IMO he’s looking at financial collapse if the NY AG case results in a nine-figure money judgment he can’t pay. He’s also facing the death sentence and this leasehold income likely falls into the receivership that would come from the AG case. This is the kind of thing you might expect when banks are working out a defaulted loan facing foreclosure.
The Trump ownership interest in this building is disclosed in Trump’s 2020 Federal ethics disclosure. The transaction appears to be in favor of Wells Fargo Bank but they could be acting as an agent.

Trump’s motion to hold Jack Smith in contempt should be given short shrift. Here are the operative orders that apply. The stay is re proceedings. The scheduling order is impacted but that order requires Smith to continue to provide Brady and Giglio Material. Thus not a proceeding.
